Men's final
If Djokovic, the men's world number one, wins the final he will only need to claim the US Open later this year to become the first male player to complete the Grand Slam since Australia's Rod Laver in 1969.
The Serbian already has five Wimbledon crowns in his keeping, his tally including the 2018 and 2019 titles from the most recent editions of the tournament prior to this year.
Should he win a 20th major, he will sit alongside his long-time rivals Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal at the top of the men's all-time list.
Berrettini is making his first appearance in the final of a major, but he will not be a pushover.
He has impressed with his run so far at the All England Club and is regarded as one of the rising stars of the men's game.
The 25-year-old is ranked ninth in the world and his previous best finish at a major was a semi-final berth at the 2019 US Open final.
He is the first Italian to reach a Wimbledon singles final.
Djokovic and Berrettini have met twice before in ATP Tour matches, with the former having won on both occasions.
He beat Berrettini in the French Open quarter-finals last month and also triumphed in the 2019 ATP Finals in London.
