Wimbledon 2022 odds: Emma Raducanu and Andy Murray lead the way for the Brits on Wednesday

British number one Emma Raducanu is back on Centre Court this afternoon when she takes on French rival Caroline Garcia for a place in the the third round of Wimbledon 2022. The US Open champion, who opened her campaign with a win over Belgian opponent Alison van Uytvanck, is a 4/6 favourite with Betfred to overcome the former world number four.

Raducanu, who is a 16/1 chance to go all the way to a second major victory, was cheered on by a hugely partisan home crowd in her opening game on Monday evening. The 19-year-old eventually eased to a comfortable straight-sets victory at her first Grand Slam on home turf since her US Open win last September.

Raducanu said: "Caroline is a great opponent. I played her earlier on in the year in Indian Wells and it was a tricky match. She plays pretty fast tennis. I'm ready for that. It feels incredible. From the moment the doors opened, I completely cherished every moment. I feel like everyone is so behind me."

The second round clash is expected to start around 4pm, weather permitting.

Andy Murray is also back in action on Centre Court this afternoon when he takes on big-serving American John Isner. Murray recovered from dropping the first set against James Duckworth in his opening round match to come through by three sets to one.

The two-time Wimbledon champion has never lost a second round match at Wimbledon but this afternoon's clash with former semi-finalist Isner represents a potential banana skin for the Scot, although the bookies rate Murray as a warm favourite at 2/5 to reach the third round. Murray vs Isner is the final game scheduled for Centre Court today.

  • Murray - 2/5
  • Isner - 15/8
