Wimbledon 2019: Order of play for Friday – day 11 featuring Rafael Nadal vs Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic vs Roberto Bautista Agut

Latest updates

Good morning and welcome to our live coverage of men's semi-finals day at Wimbledon.
Today promises to be one of the most memorable days in recent Wimbledon history, and Paul Newman has written quite the preview piece to whet your appetite ahead of the latest Federer vs Nadal clash:

Day 11 is here, and it's a blockbuster day with a matchup between arguably the two greatest players of all time!

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal will meet for the 40th time, and the first time at Wimbledon since their legendary final in 2008, which lasted nearly five hours!
Before those two clash though, Novak Djokovic will face Roberto Bautista Agut in the first men's semi-final!

These two have met 10 times, with Djokovic leading the H2H 7-3 . However, Bautista Agut has beaten the world number one twice this year, in Doha and Miami.

The pair will get play underway on Centre Court from 1:00pm!
In other news, former world No 1 Andy Murray has provided a fresh update on his expected return to singles action:

Are you excited? I know I am!

Head to Head: Nadal leads 24-15

Last five meetings

  • 2019 Nadal d Federer 6-3 6-4 6-2 (French Open, clay)
  • 2017 Federer d Nadal 6-4 6-3 (Shanghai, hard)
  • 2017 Federer d Nadal 6-3 6-4 (Miami, hard)
  • 2017 Federer d Nadal 6-2 6-3 (Indian Wells, hard)
  • 2017 Federer d Nadal 6-4 3-6 6-1 3-6 6-3 (Australian Open, hard)
Wow.

It should be a memorable day for Roberto Bautista Agut. The Spaniard had originally pencilled in his stag-do in Ibiza for this weekend but instead finds himself going up against world No 1 Novak Djokovic on Wimbledon's Centre Court.

Agut has taken on the Serbian a total of 10 times. He's beaten him on just three occasions, the most recent coming in Miami earlier this year.

Having never faced each other on grass before, though, today's clash remains something of an unknown entity. Djokovic remains the favourite, for sure, but Agut isn't one to be dismissed so easily.
What's more, there is no cricket to distract you today... it's all about the tennis!

Appreciate it while it's still here folks.

We're less than five minutes from the first semi-final here at Wimbledon!

We'll be bringing you live text commentary from Novak Djokovic vs Roberto Bautista Agut, before the match we've all been waiting for: Rafael Nadal vs Roger Federer.
