Wimbledon 2018 LIVE: Novak Djokovic vs Karen Khachanov latest updates, plus scores, schedule and more

Magic Monday at Wimbledon sees all remaining singles competitors in action on one of the grand days in the schedule, with Roger FedererRafael Nadal and Serena Williams all in action on Centre Court at SW19.

Reigning Wimbledon champion Federer took little time in dispatching Frenchman Adrian Mannarino in straight sets, before the women's singles took centre stage as Williams breezed past unseeded Russian Evgeniya Rodina. The final match on Centre Court sees No 2 seed Rafael Nadal face Jiri Vesely, with a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs.

Court 1 sees plenty of big names, too, as two-time Grand Slam winner Angelique Kerber kicks the action off against Belinda Bencic, before Gael Monfils plays Kevin Anderson and Novak Djokovic looks to continue his impressive run this summer against Karen Khachanov. An appetising encounter on Court 2 will round out the action as Juan Martin del Potro faces Gilles Simon.

British interest in the singles competitions may be over, but there's still home hopes in the doubles as Jamie Murray partners with Bruno Soares to play British brothers Kenneth and Neal Skupski, while in the mixed doubles Jay Clarke and Harriet Dart play the pairing of Max Mirnyi and Kveta Peschke.

A round-up of the women's action here at Wimbledon:

And it's Djokovic who wins the first set. The Serbian reacted well to that opening surprise and got his act together to pull ahead in this match. An unforced forehand error from Khachanov was the deciding stroke in this first set. Onto the next one.

19:28
Novak Djokovic's match against Karen Khachanov got off to an entertaining start. The young Russian immediately broke the former world No 1, sealing the game with a sweeping crosscourt stroke after his opponent had rushed to the net in a bid to defend the point. But Djokovic immediately hit back to break Khachanov and restore parity. Their match is currently 4-2 in the Serbian's favour.
19:25
British pair Jay Clarke and Harriet Dart moved into the third round of the mixed doubles with a three-set win.

The youngsters beat 13th seeds Max Mirnyi and Kveta Peschke 6-2 4-6 6-4 on Court Three.

Clarke, 19, was back in action after his marathon day on Friday when his men's doubles match lasted five hours in total before playing with 21-year-old Dart later on the same day.

Earlier on Monday, Joe Salisbury continued his impressive partnership with Dane Frederik Nielsen and they beat Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah 5-7 7-6 (7/3) 6-3 7-6 (7/1).
19:04
Kevin Anderson advanced to his first Wimbledon quarter-final after edging past Gael Monfils 7-6 (4), 7-6 (2), 5-7, 7-6 (4).

The eighth-seeded Anderson hit 20 aces on his way to setting up a last-eight meeting with defending champion Roger Federer.

Anderson, who reached his first Grand Slam final at the 2017 U.S. Open, had lost in the fourth round at Wimbledon on three previous occasions.

Both Anderson of South Africa and the 44th-ranked Monfils of France were bidding to reach the quarterfinals for the first time on their 10th appearance at the All England Club.
19:01
Novak Djokovic is currently warming up out on Court One. A late start for him and Karen Khachanov, with the light already starting to dim here at the All England Club. We'll have to see if the Serb can get through today's match before it gets too dark.
18:41
Rafael Nadal breezed into his first Wimbledon quarter-final since 2011.

The Spaniard beat unseeded Jiri Vesely 6-3 6-3 6-4 on Centre Court to set up a last-eight meeting with Juan Martin del Potro or Gilles Simon.

The clay-court king, who won an 11th French Open last month, has had trouble moving on to grass in recent years, and has suffered some shock defeats, but he looks at home so far and has yet to drop a set.

And, 10 years on from his memorable win in an epic final against Roger Federer, a rematch could be on the cards on Sunday.

18:11
Andy Murray will be back at Wimbledon on Tuesday as the two-time champion makes his first public appearance since deciding to withdraw.

The former world number one ruefully concluded on the eve of the tournament that best-of-five-set tennis would be too demanding given he is in the early stages of his comeback from hip surgery.

He has since hit the hard courts in preparation for the American summer, with his next tournament scheduled to be the Citi Open in Washington, starting on July 30.

Murray is set to appear on television during Tuesday's action, and will be back on Wednesday for men's quarter-final day.

He wrote on Facebook: "Live in the BBC studio tomorrow with Tim Henman and trying my hand at commentary on Wednesday.... what could possibly go wrong..."

18:02
Elsewhere, it's all tied at 2-2 in the third set of Nadal's match with Vesely. The Spaniard sped through the first two and is looking to follow long-term rival Roger Federer in not dropping a single set of The Championships so far.
17:58
Del Potro looks to be in top form in his fourth-round match against Gilles Simon on Court Two. The Argentine is getting the crowd going with his range of thumping baseline strokes and delicious backhand drop-shots. It's good to see the fan favourite impressing like this after so many injury struggles over the years.
17:39
Nadal is still cruising in the second set of his match against Vesely. He's 4-2 up and showing no signs of taking his foot off the pedal.

17:36
Ernests Gulbis' run was ended by 24th seed Kei Nishikori, who is through to the quarter-finals here for the first time.

Gulbis came through qualifying before winning three five-set contests to reach the last 16 but he was hampered by a left knee problem in a 4-6 7-6 (7/5) 7-6 (12/10) 6-1 loss.

Nishikori also needed treatment to his arm but a fall during the third-set tie-break prompted Gulbis to take an injury time-out and the fourth set was rather one-sided

17:27
Dominika Cibulkova beat Hsieh Su-wei 6-4 6-1 but the match will be remembered for a ludicrous umpiring decision at a crucial stage of a tight opening set:

First blood to Rafael Nadal on Centre Court.

The Spaniard takes the opening set against Jiri Vesely 6-3.

Wimbledon's top 10 women's seeds have all been knocked out before the quarter-finals for the first time.

Karolina Pliskova became the last to slide out of the tournament on Monday.

Here is a look at how the field of elite women's seeds, from one to 10, has been decimated at Wimbledon:

10 - Madison Keys - OUT - lost 7-5 5-7 6-4 to Evgeniya Rodina, third round

16:56
Plain-sailing so far for Rafa Nadal on Centre Court. The Spaniard is 3-1 up in the first set and currently serving. A Federer-Nadal final, 10 years on from their famous encounter, is looking more and more likely with each passing day.
16:46
Some nice analysis here from Luke Brown on Pliskova's Wimbledon struggles. Check it out, folks:

16:34
They're rattling through them on Centre Court today. We're already on to Rafael Nadal's fourth-round clash with Jiri Vesely and it's not even 5pm. Will the Spaniard be joining Federer in the rival? We'll find out shortly.

That didn't take long at all. What a performance from the American who seems to be getting better and better with each game.
