Britain's Joe Salisbury and Danish partner Frederik Nielsen missed out on a place in the final of the men's doubles at Wimbledon.
Salisbury, 26, and 34-year-old Nielsen - who won the title with Britain's Jonathan Marray in 2012 - were beaten in the semi-final by 13th seeds Michael Venus and Raven Klaasen.
Salisbury and Nielsen levelled the match after dropping the first set on a tie-break but Venus, from New Zealand, and South African Klaasen won 7-6 (8/6) 3-6 6-3 6-4.
There was more disappointment for Britain when Dominic Inglot and partner Franko Skugor lost in the second men's semi-final.
Englishman Inglot and Croatian Skugor put their World Cup rivalry to one side to take on American duo Jack Sock and Mike Bryan.
But Sock and Bryan triumphed over five hard-fought sets 6-3 6-1 6-7 (11/13) 6-7 (4/7) 6-4.
There was better news in the mixed doubles where British duo Jay Clarke and Harriet Dart reached the semi-finals.
The wild cards edged out 10th seeds Juan Sebastian Cabal of Colombia and American Abigail Spears in two tight sets 7-6 (12/10) 7-5 on Centre Court.
They will face Jamie Murray and Victoria Azarenka in the last four.
Scot Murray, defending the title he won with Martina Hingis last year, and former world number one Azarenka beat Dutch pair Jean-Julien Rojer and Demi Schuurs 4-6 7-5 7-5.
