Wilshere, Noble - latest West Ham injury news and potential return dates ahead of Hull City match

West Ham don’t have too many injury concerns heading into their Carabao Cup third round tie against Hull City on Tuesday evening at London Stadium.

In fact, there are only two players that are struggling to make the game though one of them has returned to training in the past few days.

Jack Wilshere was ruled out last week’s victory over Charlton Athletic with an ankle injury he picked up in training. The midfielder was likely to feature against the Addicks but was a late withdrawal.

Skipper Mark Noble was ruled out of the defeat to Arsenal at the weekend with a toe injury he sustained in training last Thursday.

The Hammers players seemingly came through their loss at the weekend without any injury issues as manager David Moyes should have a near enough full squad to choose from with which he can rotate with.

The likes of Felipe Anderson, Sebastien Haller, Andriy Yarmolenko and Manuel Lanzini should all get starts, as well as Josh Cullen getting another chance to impress in midfield.

Below is the latest injury news and some potential return dates for the two Hammers players currently on the sidelines.

Type of injury: Ankle

Date of injury: September 14

Potential return date: September 22

Comments: “ He had a scan on Wednesday on his ankle and has a bit of bone growth on his ankle which caused him irritation. He rolled his ankle and felt it, that was what got checked.

“But he’s back training.”

Mark Noble

Type of injury: Toe

Date of injury: September 17

Potential return date: September 27

Comments: “ Mark Noble has a bit of a toe injury, we just didn’t risk him in training because he has had an injection in it. We will see how he is.”
