Zendaya Coleman, Willow Smith, and Kiernan Shipka got together for a fashion shoot to celebrate the new young talents transforming the fashion and entertainment business.
W magazine features the three young stars on the cover of its April issue - all decked in high-fashion and sporting a different hairstyle from their usual.
The three young women are stars in the worlds of film and music and are currently playing a key role in the fashion world and ongoing debates such as diversity and gender fluid.
Following the news that Willow is the new ambassador of Chanel, it’s no surprise we'll be seeing her more often on the fashion pages. The 15-year-old singer seems to be a good fit for the modern world that has challenged the traditional perception of gender and has opened to diversity. She appears in the publication with her hair dyed navy blue, accented by bright safety pins, which she styled herself, teamed up with matching lips.
“That was my idea,” she said. “I was in my bathroom yesterday and saw some safety pins on the counter and was just like, ‘Let me stab a dread real quick.’ When I did it, I was, like, ‘Oh, this is dope.’ [as teenager would say these days] ”
She also revealed her fashion icon is her mother, actress and musician Jada Pinkett Smith. “When she was on tour with Ozzfest, she was very raunchy. I loved watching her onstage,” Willow said.
Willow appears alongside Mad Men’s 16-year-old actress Kiernan Shipka, who has consistently deployed fashion-forward yet age-appropriate ensembles, featuring designer labels like Delpozo, Miu Miu and Erdem. In the shoot she's styled in Armani Price, Dior Haute Couture and Gaultier Paris.
Disney’s star child Zendaya Coleman, also features in the issue. The 19-year-old has been hitting the fashion mark for years. She consistently changes her hairstyle, her red carpet appearances make headlines, attends fashion week shows and even launched her own shoe line recently.
