Willis Halaholo spent Saturday morning giving case-loads of Welsh rugby kit to people just to be nice

Wales star Willis Halaholo delivered the goods both on and off the pitch over the weekend.

The seven-cap centre scored one of Cardiff’s five tries in their 33-21 United Rugby Championship victory over Connacht on Friday night, receiving a rapturous standing ovation from the Arms Park faithful as he left the field just before the final whistle.

Then, the following day, he proceeded to delight Blue & Blacks fans once again with a series of special deliveries.

Ahead of the game, he had run a competition via social media to win some of the kit which he had accumulated over the last few seasons.

Anyone who bought a ticket for the game after seeing his tweet could go into the draw, with a winner to be chosen at random.

Season tickets holders weren’t forgotten either, as they had the chance to win kit by posting a memorable Cardiff moment.

Halaholo also promised he would hand over the prizes in person - and he was true to his word.

On Saturday, he posted three pictures of him delivering the goodies to delighted Cardiff fans, despite still carrying the aches and pains of the night before.

And one of the lucky recipients shared a video of more than a dozen Wales and Cardiff tops laid out on her garden after the visit from Halaholo.

Explaining the thinking behind his generous actions, he said: “I am just excited for the new season and having supporters back at the Arms Park.

“It was a good win with my Cardiff brothers.”

He also paid tribute to the part fans played in the victory after the hosts lost fly-halves Rhys Priestland and Jarrod Evans to injury.

“We lost our two generals and the crowd got us through that,” he said.

“You can’t beat a bouncing Arms Park.”
