Willie Mullins and Rich Ricci set for UK firsts at Market Rasen and Chepstow

Willie Mullins and Rich Ricci are set to break new ground on UK racecourses this week.

The top Irish trainer and owner, who have had some of the best National Hunt horses of the last decade, could have their first runners at Market Rasen and Chepstow respectively.

Unlike their celebrations with 2016 Champion Hurdle winner Annie Power and dual Cheltenham Festival hero Douvan, they will not be teaming up this time.

Mullins has entered the Leinster Partnership's unraced filly Panic Attack in Market Rasen's Listed mares' flat race on Thursday, after she was balloted out of a similar race at Cheltenham.

While Ricci's first horse with Venetia Williams, Royale Pagaille, could run in Chepstow's Purple Pine Creative Novices' Chase the following day.

Over the years, Mullins has had 117 winners in Britain at 11 different tracks and he is the leading trainer at the Cheltenham Festival.

Ricci's pink and green colours have been seen at 17 of the 59 UK racecourses.

He has had 16 winners at Prestbury Park and won more than £2 million of prize money.
