Pittodrie legend Willie Miller has told Dave Cormack to go and get Stephen Glass and Scott Brown NOW if he wants them as his new Aberdeen management team.
The Dons board are still taking applications for their vacant post and are due to meet this week to narrow down the final shortlist.
Atlanta United 2 coach Glass is the frontrunner and wants to bring in Celtic captain Brown as No.2, along with England coach Allan Russell.
Ex-Aberdeen skipper and boss Miller urged Cormack to act quickly and said: “My advice to the chairman is go and get them and put them in place.
“Take advantage of the uncertainty at Celtic Park, if they think Stephen Glass is the man then go and get him.
“Get his team and give him the opportunity between now and the end of the season to work with the players and build for the new season.
“I am a little bit surprised that a permanent manager won’t be named before the end of the season.
“I thought Dave Cormack would have had a name or a team in mind to put in place.

“That being said it is a huge challenge to whoever gets the job because Derek McInnes has been pretty successful in his tenure at Aberdeen.”
Miller says landing Brown, set to be offered a new deal at Celts, would be a coup.
He added on BBC Sportsound: “If I am chairman of Aberdeen then I’d be taking advantage of the uncertainty at Celtic Park and I would offer Scott Brown the opportunity.
“I think at some point Scott would want to be a manager but there are some players who are happy to be assistants. I don’t think Scott has that type of personality.”
Belgium No.2 Shaun Maloney and ex-Motherwell boss Stephen Robinson are under serious consideration.
Steven Pressley, Sven Goran Eriksson and Billy Davies could also be in the frame.
