It isn’t hard to find praise for Washington Redskins head coach Ron Rivera.
Former players are all about heaping praise on Rivera. And his new players haven’t been shy about celebrating the hire.
But it means a lot when coming from a player with as storied of a career as Willie McGinest too, as shown in the video above from NFL Network.
There, McGinest touches on aspects of the impending culture change, including getting big egos to buy into the grand scheme of the team’s goal.
Based on his time in New England, McGinest would know a thing or two about that, so it’s encouraging to see these things mentioned alongside Rivera’s arrival.
While there’s a lot of work in front of the new coaching staff, it’s quite clear Rivera was carefully selected for the job and likely capable of making it happen.
