Willie Collum leaves Carlo Ancelotti angry as Rangers friendly gets lengthy added time

There's plenty of football fans in Scotland who end up a bit frustrated with Willie Collum.

He's one of the country's best referees but he's in that position where there's always going to be someone annoyed.

But he probably never expected to be on the receiving end of a mouthful from the manager of team being beaten because he added on too much injury time.

But that's exactly what happened during Rangers' 2-1 win over Real Madrid on Sunday evening when Carlo Ancelotti was left a bit annoyed.

Collum had already sent off one of his players when Nacho was shown a second yellow card for a foul on Glen Kamara when it could easily have been a straight red.

But as the game approached the end, it was announced there were four minutes added on at Ibrox and it left Ancelotti annoyed.

He quickly shouted at the fourth official and the referee and they clearly took it on board with Collum blowing up for full time within 30 seconds of the added time.

It was Madrid's first game of pre-season and Ancelotti didn't want any more added on time and was happy to leave Glasgow with a good work out.

Fashion Sakala and Cedric Itten netted the goals for Rangers after Rodrygo had opened the scoring for the Spanish giants.
