Continuing the trend this year, the NFL draft will have players take the podium in the second and third rounds instead of commissioner Roger Goodell.
Willie Anderson and Geno Atkins will rep the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2019 NFL draft, with the former announcing the second-round pick, the latter the third.
Fitting, as the second round figures to be a hot offensive line spot for a Bengals team in need of help there. Anderson was a superb tackle for the Bengals over a number of years.
Atkins, of course, was a third-round pick who has carved out a stellar career for himself. His Bengals have openly flirted with upgrading in the defensive trenches this year, so he might end up calling the name of someone who joins his unit.
