Willian 'rejects transfer' to David Beckham's Inter Miami amid uncertain Chelsea future

Willian has rejected a lucrative deal from David Beckham's Inter Miami as his future remains uncertain.

The MLS's newest outfit were keen to add the Chelsea star to their squad as they eye a marquee name.

Willian's deal at Stamford Bridge is almost up with the two parties, so far, unable to agree on an extension.

It leaves the door open for a free transfer somewhere, but it doesn't look like that will be Florida after Willian rejected Inter's approach, reports the Telegraph.

The 31-year-old was keen to sign a new three-deal deal to remain in west London, but Chelsea were not willing to offer more than two.

Tottenham, the team who Willian looked set to sign for in 2013, have supposedly contacted the winger and made a healthy offer.

Jose Mourinho was the Blues boss when Willian headed to Stamford Bridge but he is now in charge of Spurs.

The Brazilian has previously confessed he is keen to play in America, but while he remains at his peak wants to continue applying his trade in Europe.

Willian said recently: "I want to finish the season well if I go, or maybe I can stay.

"I don’t know but what I want now is to play well and for Chelsea to finish in the top four.

"I’m feeling good. We had one month to prepare well with a lot of fitness training so all the players feel good to play and we showed that on the pitch.

"We have to keep going. We know teams that come from behind want to win to go in the top four as well so we have to do our job."
