With Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United losing Harry Kane and Marcus Rashord respectively to injury over the festive period, both clubs have been tipped to bring in a new striker in the January transfer.

"This illusion and ambition in the remainder of the season is maximum and that leads to to look for the stability of this template until the end of the season."
Soon after this decision was made, Jose sat down to reflect on the failed transfer after admitting he was tempted by a move to north London.
"I saw it as a very good opportunity, to play in the Champions League and the Premier League team and I didn't get there," he told the club's official website.
"But I am very happy here.
"I always say I am very grateful to Real Sociedad for everything they've given me and for taking a chance on me."

And Jose Mourinho is preparing for life without a forward.
"I am not expecting. The market is open so anything can happen but I'm not expecting," he said during his pre-Man City press conference.
"I have to answer yes, it would be better with a striker. Yes, we would need a striker to have a better squad to face the great challenges in front of us in three different competitions.
"But we want to do things not to resolve the problems of today or tomorrow but things that are also good for the future."
