Chelsea winger Willian may be yet to start a competitive match under Frank Lampard but he is raring to go ahead of the Blues' clash at Wolves on Saturday.
Willian sustained a hamstring injury during the Copa America and missed most of pre-season as a result. But now his recovery has been completed and he can't wait to get back into action.
The only box left to tick is a starting role in Lampard's side, something which the speedster is backing himself for after providing an update on his health.
"I had an injury when I was at the Copa America and I needed some time in training to recover, but now I am 100 per cent," Willian told Sky Sports. "I have to continue to train hard and when I have time to play I have to play well."
Willian may get his wish sooner rather than later.
New boy Christian Pulisic had the longest journey during the international break, with the USA taking on Uruguay in Missouri on Wednesday.
And although the Chelsea man was not in the squad, the travelling time may force Lampard to consider starting him against Wolves.
Willian's future at Chelsea, meanwhile remains uncertain with his contract due to expire next summer, but the Brazilian is currently happy at Stamford Bridge and excited to play under new boss Lampard.
"It has been good to work with him (Lampard)," Willian added. "He is a great man. The quality of training has been good.
"Of course we have to give some time to adapt, it is a new profile, a new philosophy, but I think we will adapt."
