Arsenal have reached an agreement with Willian to terminate his contract by mutual consent ahead of the Brazilian's return to Corinthians.
The 32-year-old signed for the Gunners on a free transfer from Chelsea last summer, and struggled to make the desired impact in Mikel Arteta's side.
Currently behind the likes of Emile Smith Rowe, Martin Odegaard and Reiss Nelson in the pecking order at Emirates Stadium, Willian made it clear he wanted to leave the club this summer.
football.london reported on Friday that confirmation of the deal would be announced on Monday, with Arsenal announcing on their website that they had reached an agreement to terminate his contract via mutual consent.
"He had two more years to run on his contract but following positive and constructive recent discussions with him and his team, he will be leaving for a new opportunity with Corinthians in Brazil, where he began his career," read a statement on Arsenal's official website.
"Everyone at Arsenal wishes Willian and his family well for the future.
"The contract termination is subject to the completion of regulatory processes."
The Gunners have previously been unable to attract suitors for the Brazilian midfielder this summer after his debut season at the club, following his free transfer from Chelsea.
David Beckham's Inter Miami side were previously linked for the player who had eight goal involvements in 35 appearances last season in all competitions.
