William Storey 'disappointed' after Sunderland agree Kyril Louis-Dreyfus takeover

Hopeful Sunderland buyer William Storey says he's disappointed by the news that Black Cats owner Stewart Donald has agreed a deal with Kyril Louis-Dreyfus.

The owner of Rich Energy, a soft drink, has been constantly vocal about his desire to buy the club.

On Christmas Eve, Sunderland fans were given an early gift in the form of news that a takeover had been agreed pending EFL approval.

The club expects the takeover to be completed by mid-January if it passed EFL regulations.

Speaking on Twitter after the news broke, Storey said: "Very disappointing as we offered so much more.

"Sadly no shock as deal ensures Donald & Methven continue to suck on the teat of Sunderland & take money OUT of the club.

"I wish Dreyfus the best of luck & I hope he delivers what the fans deserve. A wonderful club."
