William Saliba 'with Arsenal fans in away end' at Watford during injury rehabilitation

Arsenal summer signing William Saliba may have to wait a year to play for the Gunners, but is wasting no time getting to know the fans.

The defender is spending the season back on loan Saint-Etienne after agreeing a deal to become a Gunners from the 2020-21 season but is currently sidelined with injury.

Arsenal confirmed the defender was with the squad this week as he continues to rehabilitate from a groin injury and was wearing training kit with the no.17, recently vacated by Alex Iwobi, at London Colney.

Ahead of Sunday's game against Watford, Saliba was pictured outside of Vicarage Road ahead of watching the game amongst the travelling fans.

Arsenal fan Charlie on Twitter posted a picture with Saliba with the caption: "My man Saliba in the away end today. Come on you gunners."

There is no timescale on Saliba's return to action with Saint-Etienne, with head coach Ghislain Printant telling reporters last month: "Saliba had an operation earlier this week. We will take our time with his return."
