William Saliba has already hinted at his next move after Mikel Arteta decides his Arsenal future

William Saliba could leave Arsenal this summer.

football.london understands that the Frenchman, who is yet to make a competitive appearance for the Gunners despite joining for £27m in the 2019 summer window, is assessing his options ahead of the new season.

With the Gunners closing in on the signing of Ben White from Brighton & Hove Albion, first-team opportunities could be limited for Saliba at the Emirates Stadium in the 2021/22 campaign.

In fact, football.london has been told by multiple sources that Saliba could even be sold this summer, despite initial suggestions that he was likely to be given an opportunity to impress in the first team next season.

Furthermore, It has also been suggested that his age is another reason why manager Mikel Arteta has made this decision as he is said to be reluctant to throw him into the team.

As a result, Saliba is considered as part of a group of players set to leave in the coming weeks, including Granit Xhaka, Dinos Mavropanos, Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira.

But what will be the 20-year-old's next move?

Well, there has been talk of him joining Newcastle United on loan, whilst there's interest from back home in France from Marseille as well as Nice.

Interestingly, Saliba hinted at extending his loan spell at the former not too long after making his debut for the club against Brest all the way back in January.

At the time when asked about potentially staying at the Allianz Arena, Saliba had an interesting response.

"I have signed a 6 month contract, after these 6 months we will see what happens," he said at his official unveiling to the press, via GFFN. "But for now I have signed for 6 months, I am going to give my all, and then we will see."

As it's safe to say the Nice loan deal was a success as Saliba went on to make 22 appearances across all competitions, so it could be that they are at the top of his list should he leave Arsenal once again.
