Hearts are set to appoint William Lancefield as their new head of recruitment.
Lancefield has been headhunted by director of football Joe Savage.
He comes in after being a scout at Southampton.
Lancefield was the Saints’ regional lead scout for London and the south. He was previously with Norwich City before he moved to St Mary’s.
He will now start to head up Robbie Neilson ’s summer recruitment drive.
Lancefield, whose main strength is the analytical side, will be based in London but will spearhead Hearts ' future signings.
Long-serving John Murray stepped down from his position as Hearts’ head scout after 26 years at the club.
