Accountancy firm William Duncan and Co has acquired sector rival IDS + Co, as it expands its business in Ayrshire.
The company will keep the 19 staff led by Iain Sim at IDS, as it joins William Duncan, which is based in Ayr, Kilmarnock and Glasgow.
The acquisition of IDS was made at an undisclosed sum and aimed at helping William Duncan expand its offering in the West of Scotland.
Iain Sim, managing director at IDS + Co, commented: “The time is right to make this move as I admire the way William Duncan + Co. operate and believe this is a great home for the team and our clients and personally I am looking forward to joining the William Duncan + Co board.”
