William announces huge new event - and he'll be in same country as Harry and Meghan

Prince William has announced a huge new event which will see him in the same country as Harry and Meghan.

In a newly released video The Duke of Cambridge, 40, announced today he will be coming to Boston to bring The Earthshot, a global environmental prize, to the US.

The foundation, which was set up by Prince William and The Royal Foundation in 2020, will see the royals travel to Boston - after announcing the city as host for its second annual awards ceremony in early December this year.

In the video released by the royals, Prince William said: "In 2022, we're back and we're bringing Earthshot to the USA.

"Where we'll award the next five winners of the prize".

The announcement means Prince William will be in the US where his brother Prince Harry lives along with his wife Meghan and children - which could give the brothers the opportunity to meet up.

Speculation will be rife as to whether the brothers, who have had in recent times a turbulent relationship, could patch up their differences together whilst William is in America.

However, recent reports have suggested Price William is 'adamant' his relationship with his brother will not be repaired.

It's thought the Duke of Cambridge did not spend any private time with his brother when Harry came over for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

And it was clear in one jubilee event that Harry and wife Meghan Markle took part in, the brothers were kept away from each other as their once close bond has deteriorated.

William was unhappy with the Duke of Sussex after the couple separated from the Royal Family as they continue to live in America.

The Duke of Cambridge thought Harry and Meghan's shock announcement about stepping back as senior royals was 'disrespectful' to the Queen.

The pair initially fell out over William urging Harry to "take his time" in his relationship with Meghan, according to reports.

He was also embarrassed when the couple gave a tell-all interview to US TV talk show Queen Oprah as some senior royals claimed at the time the couple "crossed a line".

Prince William also believes the pair have not have not made an "acknowledgement of the hurt it caused" which has strained the brothers relationship.
