17 years on from his Pop Idol win, Will Young is preparing to release his seventh studio album, followed by a major UK tour that includes a return to Nottingham.
Today (March 22) the 40-year-old Londoner released a new single, All The Songs, the first taster from Lexicon, due out on indie label Cooking Vinyl on June 14.
Young has been working with the same team behind his 2011 album, Echoes, including producers and songwriters Richard X, Jim Eliot and Mima Stilwell, as well as Eg White (Adele, Florence + The Machine), Boy Matthews (ZAYN, Duke Dumont), Danny Shah (David Guetta, Kylie Minogue) and Tom Walker.
Lexicon is his first album since 2015's 85% Proof, which became his fourth UK No. 1. Since then he's been campaigning for the LGBTQ movement, co-hosting the Homo Sapiens podcast and presenting on Radio 2.
His 21-date tour comes to Nottingham's Royal Concert Hall on October 22.
