Will you be going on holiday to one of the 'green list' countries? Have your say

Portugal, Gibraltar and Israel are among the handful of destinations on the Government’s new green list for travel.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps declared that people in England “should not be travelling” to countries on the amber list, which includes Spain, France, Italy and Greece.

People returning to England from a green destination from May 17 will not be required to self-isolate and are only required to take one post-arrival coronavirus test.

The green list also features several remote British Overseas Territories and destinations where visits from UK tourists are heavily restricted, such as Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Brunei and the Faroe Islands.

Just 6% of passengers who took an international flight from a UK airport in July and August 2019 flew to what is now a green list country, the Airport Operators Association (AOA) calculated.

Holidaymakers who go against Mr Shapps’ guidance by visiting an amber country must self-isolate at home for 10 days and take two post-arrival tests.

The Cabinet minister told a Downing Street press conference the removal of the ban on international leisure travel was "necessarily cautious" and the Government must "make absolutely sure" the countries the UK reconnects with are safe.

Here at ChronicleLive, we want to know how you are feeling at the prospect of going on holiday abroad this year.

Are you so excited you have already booked or are you anxious about being safe boarding a plane and being in a foreign country where the vaccine rollout is behind that of the UK?

We'd like to know which country, if any, you are planning on visiting on the 'green list'.

People should not travel to countries on the 'amber' or 'red' list for leisure purposes and if you do, you will be subject to certain quarantine measures.

But will that put you off from going? Or will you just be happy to go on holiday?
