While the most recent heatwave experienced across the country has already finished, we may soon be getting another one in July, according to the Met Office.
Despite temperatures slowly falling throughout the week, showers will become less frequent and it has been predicted that there will be more sunny intervals. This will carry on into the first couple weeks of July where conditions are expected to settle with slightly more showers seen in the north.
However, this doesn't mean Mancunians' hopes of a heatwave in July have been completely dashed. It has been reported that temperatures across some southern parts of the UK will reach as high as 30C which has the potential to carry on into the northern areas of England.

A spokesperson for the Met Office told the Manchester Evening News : "It is entirely plausible that we could see heatwave thresholds being met during July. With prospects for higher temperatures towards the end of next week, we could even see some regions reaching heatwave conditions.
"In Manchester, we would need to see three days of daily max temps reaching 25C, which is possible although it is too early to have the confidence to be able to ‘forecast’ this with any certainty. Heatwave conditions are usually met when we have high pressure bringing more settled spells of weather with clear skies allowing daytime heating to build up to heatwave levels.
"Alternatively we can see high temperatures boosted by warm air being drawn up from southern Europe or North Africa: the position and development of next week’s high makes it more likely that we’ll see more Atlantic air being drawn into the UK."
The Met Office currently predicts that higher temperatures and dry weather will most likely be seen towards the end of July. It said: "The further we move through the [middle of July] period, the greater the chance of settled, dry and fine weather becoming more widespread. Temperatures are likely to trend near or above average initially and may become widely warm towards the end of the month, especially across the south."
