Will the Sammy Watkins-Darrelle Revis matchup happen Thursday Night?

Might "Revis Island" catch a break Thursday night?

Bills star receiver Sammy Watkins is officially listed as "questionable" for the Jets' primetime AFC East showdown in Buffalo. But that doesn't necessarily mean he won't still be a factor.

Though Watkins was unable to practice all week because of pain and soreness in his surgically repaired left foot, Watkins told local media he's "definitely" playing.

Darrelle Revis kept the speedy receiver in check during their first meeting of 2015, limiting Watkins to just three catches on seven targets for 14 yards (and two drops). But in their Week 17 rematch, Watkins had 136 receiving yards on 11 catches _ and six of those passes, totaling 96 yards, were caught on Revis.

After Tuesday's practice, the Jets cornerback shrugged off his success against Watkins the first time around. Instead, he pointed to the final score: a 22-17 Bills victory in Week 10. "If I got him the first game _ I don't even look at it like that, I look at the win column. My job is to keep guys at a minimum of catches if I'm covering them. That's what we do in the secondary. Always."

Revis also seemed unfazed by his subpar performance against Bengals wideout A.J. Green in the Jets' 23-22 season-opener loss at MetLife Stadium. "I'm fine, man. I'm fine. It's a long season," he said. "I can't _ we as a team can't dwell on Sunday, we've got to move forward. It's a quick turnaround, we play Thursday and you've got to move on and that's week-to-week for us."

As for Thursday night's game, the Bills also will be without starting left tackle Cordy Glenn (ankle). That means the Jets' stout defensive line could have a field day against backup lineman Cyrus Kouandjio. The unit _ led by new addition Steve McLendon _ sacked Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton seven times on Sunday, including five in the first half. Kouandjio has only two starts since being drafted in the second round of the 2014 draft. Bills QB Tyrod Taylor is far more mobile than Dalton and is much more at ease when out of the pocket and on-the-run.
