Will the Royal Mail deliver post on Good Friday 2019?

It's the start of a long bank holiday weekend.

And since Easter gives us two bank holidays on Good Friday and Easter Monday, it can be hard to keep track of opening times.

Good Friday falls on April 19 this year, while Easter Monday is on April 22.

And if you need to post something important this Easter, it's worth finding out the changes to postal deliveries.

Will there be post on Good Friday?

On Good Friday, the Royal Mail say there won't be any collections or deliveries. This is because it's a bank holiday, so there won't be any on Easter Monday either.

However, Saturday is just a normal day so post should arrive.

If you need to head to your local Post Office, all branches are expected to close on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Monday.  But if they are in a shop that is going to be open on those days they should be open within the shop. Saturday isn't affected and branches should be open as normal.

When the Royal Mail will not deliver over the bank holidays in Wales and England for 2019:

Tuesday 1 January Bank Holiday - New Year's Day No collections or deliveries
Friday 19 April March Good Friday No collections or deliveries
Monday 22 April Easter Monday No collections or deliveries
Monday 6 May Early May Bank Holiday No collections or deliveries
Monday 27 May Spring Bank Holiday No collections or deliveries
Monday 26 August Summer Bank Holiday No collections or deliveries
Wednesday 25 December Christmas Day No collections or deliveries
Thursday 26 December Boxing Day No collections or deliveries
