Will the return of FB Roosevelt Nix fix the Steelers run game?

It looks as if the Pittsburgh Steelers will have fullback Roosevelt Nix back this week when they take on the Miami Dolphins. Nix has been dealing with a knee injury and has missed the last five games. James Conner spoke on Thursday about getting his fullback back on the field and he seemed excited about what Nix brings in the run game.

But what exactly does he bring? Are the Steelers suddenly going to switch up their philosophy when it comes to how they run the football and how often? Nix played less than 10 percent of total snaps in 2018. Right now, the Steelers run game is averaging a mediocre 3.5 yards per carry and only has 131 carries in six games.

We’ve seen how effective Nix can be as a lead blocker so maybe his return is all this offense needs to turn the corner. But I’ll remain skeptical. But I want to pass the question off to you. Will a healthy Nix fix what is ailing the Steelers run game?
