After a lackluster showing for their only national primetime game of the year, the Jacksonville Jaguars will be looking to regroup against the winless Cincinnati Bengals who are quite scrappy despite their record. With first overall pick Joe Burrow under center, the group has been in all of their games and actually are listed as the favorites by Vegas.
Once again, the Jags will be one of the teams slotted in the first window of games on Sunday (Oct. 4) taking the field at 1:00 pm EST. Per 506 Sports, those who live in the green shaded areas will be able to see the game.
This week, Tom McCarthy will serve as the play-by-play commentator while Jay Feely will handle the color commentator duties.
The Jags will enter Sunday’s game leading the all-time series between them and the Bengals with a 13-9 record. However, this game could be close like last season’s meeting — just with more scoring. The Bengals have some defensive woes like the Jags, ranking 31st against the run (181.7 YPG average) and they have the same ranking with quarterback pressures with just 17.
The Jags, on the other hand, only have been able to garner six sacks on the season so far and have been ineffective on offense aside from Week 1. With that being the case, Burrow and Gardner Minshew II could make this game very entertaining for the fans who love offensive football.
