Supermarket Aldi's famous Hanging Egg Chair went back on sale again on Sunday, but customers struggled to get their hands on it. The famous garden Specialbuy has become so popular that some customers have likened trying to get their hands on one to Glastonbury tickets.
At one point almost 130,000 shoppers were in a virtual queue for the elusive chair, getting up as early as 4am to be ready for its release at 8am on Sunday, April 25.
But the £149 product was snapped up super quickly, with many sharing their frustrations on social media.
"Imagine waiting 2.5 hrs for an Aldi Egg Chair to not even be given the option to 'add to basket'. Is it time to give up on the egg chair dream?" wrote one customer.
Another added: "Been on the site since 6am, kept refreshing the egg chair page, never gave me an option to add to basket and now it's sold out!"
What has Aldi said?
Speaking to WalesOnline, a spokesperson said: "We're sorry that some shoppers were unable to get their hands on an egg chair, however, demand has been extremely high.
"We limited purchases to one item per customer to make sure as many people as possible had chance to buy one."
Will the Aldi Hanging Egg Chair be restocked?
The Gardenline product will be on sale again later in the year, although a date hasn't been confirmed just yet.
