Will supermarkets including Tesco, Asda and more be open on Good Friday and Easter Sunday 2020?

Just as many shoppers were getting used to their local supermarkets opening hours during the coronavirus lockdown things will be changing once again.

Timings will be changed at Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's and more on Good Friday which is on Friday, April 10 and Easter Sunday which is on Sunday, April 12.

However, while opening times may be reduced even further, the majority of supermarkets will be open which many were unsure of.

Morrisons, Aldi, Lidl, Waitrose are the only supermarkets which have decided to close Easter Sunday this year. The rest will be open.

Morrisons, Aldi, Waitrose and Lidl will be open on Good Friday.

At the weekend, Sainsbury's confirmed it was the removing restrictions on products across its stores meaning customers will be able to purchase Easter  eggs without limits at its stores.

Although, customers are reminded under the government lockdown orders, shoppers must only visit supermarkets for an essential shop once a day so any Easter Eggs would need to be purchases during this shop.
