Will Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger play again?

The Pittsburgh Steelers got some devastating news on Monday. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is headed to IR due to an elbow injury. There’s been no official word from the team about the nature of the injury but many have speculated Roethlisberger is going to have Tommy John Surgery to repair a torn UCL.

It’s somewhat prophetic to consider Roethlisberger got his shot in the league due to an elbow injury to Tommy Maddox and even Terry Bradshaw some the end of his career due to an elbow injury. Now we see Mason Rudolph coming in for Roethlisberger and one has to wonder if we’ve seen the last of Big Ben.

The Steelers have been very quiet about the nature and severity of Roethlisberger’s injury. If it is really a significant UCL tear this could be a long road to recovery for a quarterback who will turn 38 before the next draft. But we are passing the question off to you. Will this injury turn out to be career-ending for Roethlisberger?
