  • Following his final speech at Downing Street, the prime minister will formally resign to the King, with Andy Burnham expected to be coronated as his successor.
  • This comes after Downing Street rejected claims by Argentina's foreign minister, Pablo Quirno, that the Falkland Islanders were "artificially implanted by the occupying power", reaffirming their right to self-determination.
  • The government is also considering a bank holiday on Friday 24 July if England win the tournament.
