Will Smith strips to boxers to unveil weight loss after being in 'worst shape of his life'

Will Smith stripped down to his boxers as he returned to working out after being in the "worst shape of his life".

The star took to Instagram to share a clip of his gruelling workout routine after deciding to jump back on a healthy lifestyle.

"The Pursuit of Happyness," Will captioned the video in a nod to his 2006 film.

At the beginning of the video, the 52-year-old stood in his boxers on a rotating platform before shaking his head and saying, "that is so nasty".

The clip then cuts to his different workouts, including bicep curls, leg presses, squats and more.

At the start of the month, Will shared a boomerang of himself in underwear as he stood with his hands on his hip.

During the coronavirus pandemic, the Bad Boys actor admitted to "grazing through the pantry" and even showed fans how he looked with a great dad bod.

"This is the body that carried me through an entire pandemic and countless days grazing thru the pantry," he captioned the clip.

"I love this body, but I wanna FEEL better. No more midnight muffins…this is it! Imma get in the BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE!!!!!

"Teaming up with @YouTube to get my health & wellness back on track."

He added The Pussycat Dolls' hit song Don't Cha on top of the fun boomerang.

A few days before, shared a similar photo of himself from his backyard and captioned the post: "I’m gonna be real wit yall - I’m in the worst shape of my life."

On May 4, he announced that he has been documenting his transformation in collaboration with YouTube for a new original series that will follow his fitness journey.

It will be six parts and is called Best Shape of My Life.
