Will Smith jokes about his eventful 2020 after August Alsina song

Will Smith has mocked the dramatic year he has had with a comic video on Instagram.

The Men in Black actor has made headlines in recent weeks after his wife Jada Pinkett Smith admitted she had an “entanglement” with the singer August Alsina.

Alsina released a track about the affair on Monday (20 July), which includes the lyrics: “You left your man just to f*** with me and break his heart.”

It is not clear whether Smith’s new video is in response to Alsina’s song, or simply about 2020 being a disaster in general, but he posted it on Instagram straight after the track was released.

In the clip, Smith asks a friend, who is standing on a roof above, to throw him down a boxed computer.

“Nah man, get out of here, we’ve got people for this,” his friend replies.

When Smith asks again, his friend says, “Okay,” but the star doesn’t hear him and, as he turns away saying, ‘Forget it,’ the box flies towards his head.

Smith and Pinkett first met after her failed auditioned for a role as Smith’s character’s girlfriend on the 1990s series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

The couple have two children together: Jaden – who was born in 1998 – and his daughter, Willow, who was born in 2000.

Alsina is said to have met Pinkett after being introduced by her son Jaden in 2015.

The singer recently claimed Smith gave “his blessing” for he and Pinkett to have a relationship.

Pinkett then revealed that, at the time she became involved with Alsina, she and Smith had decided to separate and were “over”, which they had previously not disclosed to the press.

She denied the detail of Alsina’s account about her husband giving “permission”. “The only person who could give permission in that particular circumstance was myself,” she said.
