Skate was released in early access on September 16th, 2025, and ever since, fans have been waiting for the full release date. The truth is, while skate. is fun, and the core gameplay is what we remember, the game still needs a lot of polish.
It is infested with weird bugs and glitches that need to be buffed out before the full release. Not to mention, the game severely lacks content. We have covered this in detail in our skate. review. In short, the skating is fun, but the setting and environment feel soulless.
Thankfully, EA has already announced the future skate. roadmap and the upcoming content. However, they haven’t said anything about the full release date. However, based on this roadmap, we can speculate on a full release date.
Is Skate Ready To Leave Early Access?
As fun as the game is right now, it’s far from complete. There is a severe lack of content, and currently, San Vansterdam feels a bit devoid of character. Not to mention the numerous game-breaking bugs and glitches plaguing the game.
To put it simply, the game requires significant polish before it can be fully released. Fans should expect the Early Access to last a decent amount of time.
When Is Skate Expected To Leave Early Access?

EA has announced a detailed roadmap following the early access release on September 16th, 2025. They have outlined upcoming updates and what content they will be working on. We can expect that the full release will probably be after the early access roadmap is completed, meaning all three seasons that were announced will be released. Here is what each season is said to bring.
Season 1 (October 2025): Two Seasonal Events (Skate-o-Ween, 7-Ply Maple Harvest), Skate Pass, and Quality of Life Improvements
Season 2 (December 2025): Two Seasonal Events, new Co-op mode, Party Chat, New Tricks, and Replay Editor Improvements
Season 3 (TBA): Leaderboards, more Character Customization, Gameplay Improvements, New Game Modes, Community-made Skate Parks, and Open-World Collection
The first season is set to release sometime in October 2025 and will last till December 2025. That’s when Season 2 will start. If Season 2 lasts around the same time (2-2.5 months), Season 3 should start in February/March 2026. If Season 3 lasts the same length, then we should have a release window in June/July, provided that there are no more early access seasons. This is pure speculation, and the actual release date could be way off. The game could even take a full year or more before leaving early access.
