Sara Ali Khan, who is currently promoting her recent film, 'Gaslight', was asked if she would star in the remake of any of her mother Amrita Singh's movies. The actress' reply is sure to make you roll on the floor laughing!
In an interview with Shehnaaz Gill, Sara was asked why she doesn't star in a remake of her mom's films. Taking a self-deprecating jibe, Sara replied by saying that she starred in the remake of her father Saif Ali Khan's film, 'Love Aaj Kal' and it created a sensation. The actress added that she would never do something like that again. Imtiaz Ali's 'Love Aaj Kal' with Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan, did not receive positive reviews from the audience and the critics. It proved to be a disaster at the box office.
Citing reasons, Sara further added that her mom has done so well and that she doesn't feel she can do it. However, the actress added that she will definitely try. Sara is a spitting image of Amrita, and she has often been compared to her mother for the same reason.
'Gaslight' also stars Chitrangda Singh and Vikrant Massey in lead roles. The movie was released on March 31 on an OTT platform.
