Will progress carry over in Battlefield 6?

With the Battlefield 6 open beta underway, you might be wondering if the progress you make over this period gets carried over when the latest shooter finally launches on October 10. You’ve arrived at the right place, as we’ve got everything you need to know.

Let’s be honest, there’s a ton to experience in the BF6 open beta. You get to level up and increase Career Ranks to unlock different weapons, attachments, and other rewards after completing the challenges provided, and losing all of that can be disheartening.

The upcoming iteration of the popular franchise has reportedly beaten Call of Duty‘s all-time player count on Steam. So much progress, destruction, and chaos, but does your progression get carried over? Let’s find out.

Will progress carry over in Battlefield 6 from the beta?

No, progress won’t get carried over from the open beta in Battlefield 6 when it launches on October 10. This includes all the weapon level-ups, Career Rank unlocks, weapon attachments, and loadouts.

This has been a general practice for multiple games in the past (CoD, for example, since it’s a direct competitor to Battlefield), where all progress from the beta period doesn’t get carried over to the final release, and players had to start from scratch.

This makes sense; otherwise, some players will have an unfair advantage over others who didn’t get a chance to try out the beta and make progress. However, the good news is you do get to carry over certain items to the main game.

Everything that gets carried over to Battlefield 6 from the beta

If you’ve played the first weekend of the open beta, you might have seen seven challenges that unlock an equal number of items, and their description says, “Complete this challenge during the Open Beta to unlock the reward when BF6 launches.”

That means those items will get carried over to the main game later this year. Here’s a rundown of everything that gets carried over to Battlefield 6 from the beta:

Reward Challenge
Lights Out (Playercard Background) Reach Career Rank 10
Rising Star (Character Skin) Reach Career Rank 15
Night Terror (Weapon Charm) Reach Career Rank 20
Striking Distance (Weapon Package) Get 50 kills within 10 metres with the Assault Class
I Own The Night (Weapon Sticker) Get 100 revives playing as the Support Class
After Dark (Weapon Sticker) Repair 3,000 vehicle health playing as the Engineer Class
Seeker (Character Skin) Spot 300 players with the Recon Kit

So, playing the open beta will not completely go in vain, as you’ll unlock different items for future use, get a taste of the weapon and movement mechanics, and most importantly, you’ll be having fun.
