Will Piers Morgan be on GMB tomorrow? ITV reveal what will happen after quit announcement

Piers Morgan's decision to quit his job as Good Morning Britain host has left many ITV viewers in shock and now the channel has confirmed whether or not he'll be on screen on Wednesday.

At the end of a stormy day for both the show and Piers, after he stormed off the set following a clash with co-star Alex Beresford, it was announced that the outspoken presenter had decided to leave his long-standing role.

In a brief statement, ITV said: "Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain.

"ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add."

And ITV have told ChronicleLive he WON'T be on the show on Wednesday.

Piers exit from GMB came hours after his headline-hitting walk out, following a heated on-air spat with Alex in the studio and in front of millions of viewers.

Alex said: "There was bad press around the engagement... and everything that has followed since," before saying it was obvious Piers "didn't like Meghan," in reference to claims made by Piers last week that she "ditched him like a sack of spuds."

He told Piers: "She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to," before accusing him of "continuing to trash her," as Piers got out of his seat and stormed off camera, saying: "I'm done with this,".

Alex then shouted: "Do you know what? That's pathetic," before Piers could be heard saying: "Sorry, can't do this."

While Piers, returned some viewers took to Twitter to say something felt off and now the same people have been speculating as to whether Piers will ever be back behind the GMB desk.

Piers is usually off on Thursdays and Fridays so should be presenting GMB with Susanna Reid tomorrow, however after asking ITV if he'd be on the show, Chronicle Live were swiftly told "no."
