Will Patrick Mahomes play in Week 9 against the Vikings?

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will not play in Week 8 against the Packers after dislocating his knee in Week 7.

But will he play in Week 9 against the Minnesota Vikings?

This looked like a game Mahomes would surely miss after he suffered the injury, but we forgot that Mahomes isn’t a normal human like us. This week, Mahomes was already back in practice.

Andy Reid and the Chiefs should obviously be incredibly cautious with Mahomes, the franchise’s quarterback for the next 10-plus years and their ticket to any Super Bowl run.

Led by Everson Griffen and Danielle Hunter, the Vikings have a pretty dangerous pass rushing attack, and that’s bad news for quarterbacks who aren’t very mobile.

The Chiefs are 5-2 and have a 2.5-game lead in the AFC West.

We’ll see what Reid and the Chiefs decide to do. It would be a pretty tough look for the franchise if Mahomes were to get hurt because he came back too early.
