Will Nottingham Forest win place in Championship play-offs? Predict how race for top-six spot will end

Nottingham Forest still harbour hopes of reaching the Championship's play-offs this season.

Martin O'Neill's side currently sit in ninth place after Saturday's victory against Swansea City.

Daryl Murphy and Molla Wague rescued a 2-1 win against the Swans, having been 1-0 down with 11 minutes left to play.

That win keeps Forest in touching distance of the top six, arch-rivals Derby County occupying the final play-offs place with 59 points - two more than the Reds.

Forest's run-in is a tricky one.

They begin their seven-match mini-season at struggling Rotherham United on Saturday (3pm), before a trip to 11th-placed Sheffield Wednesday, who are one point behind Forest.

Blackburn Rovers are Forest's next visitors to Trentside, before clashes with promotion-chasing Sheffield United and Middlesbrough.

The future of Nottingham Forest's 44 players analysed

They end the season at home to 23rd-placed Bolton, a match that is preceded by a visit to fellow strugglers Queens Park Rangers, who on Monday sacked ex-Reds boss Steve McClaren as manager.

Taking all those factors into account, and the Reds' recent run of only two defeats in nine matches, how do you think their season ends?
