Will Newcastle be dragged back into relegation trouble? Gary Neville offers his view

Newcastle United will amass enough points to steer clear of the Premier League's relegation zone.

That is according to Manchester United legend Gary Neville, who feels Steve Bruce's side will not be in the relegation picture come May.

The Magpies currently sit seven points clear of the bottom three with 11 games remaining but have lost both of their last two Premier League games.

United have an opportunity in the next six games to pull further clear of the drop zone when they take on other sides around them in the bottom half of the table.

And despite a four match winless run in the league, former England international, Neville, is confident they will do enough to avoid the drop.

“I look at the bottom six and it will be three of those in my opinion,” Neville told Sky Sports' Monday Night Football.

“I think Newcastle will get enough points to stay clear of it. West Ham are the team that would have least expected to be there at the start of the season."
