Will Mellor returns as Corrie villain Harvey and drops alarming bombshell on Leanne

Coronation Street airs the return of villain Harvey Gaskell, as he makes contact and drops a worrying bombshell.

In upcoming scenes , Leanne Battersby and Nick Tilsley will receive letters from the prison, as Harvey requests a visit from them.

While Nick immediately rules it out, Leanne is torn and needs to know what the criminal wants from her.

A year ago, he tried to kill her and her stepson Simon Barlow after they grassed him up to the police, but Harvey ended up killing Natasha Blakeman instead.

Natasha is the mum of Nick's son Sam, so when they get the visiting orders they are reeling.

Next week, new spoilers reveal that Leanne gives in and decides to visit Harvey after all, needing to know what he's after.

But the visit leaves her stunned after a bombshell is dropped about young Sam.

Leanne claims she is going to the cash and carry whilst secretly heading off to visit Harvey in prison, not wanting anyone to know.

As she arrives, Leanne is shocked when Harvey tells her that Sam has been writing to him.

Viewers have seen Sam sending secret letters to a mystery recipient this year, and next week Leanne and Nick find out he's writing to Harvey.

Harvey tells Leanne to stop Sam posting the letters, and she soon confronts the youngster.

As Nick and Leanne ask Sam why he's doing it, he gets upset and says he just wants to know why Harvey killed his mum.

Sam soon suggests that he’ll stop writing to Harvey if he can visit him instead, leaving his dad mortified by the idea.

Nick and Leanne say no, but Sam is adamant that it’s not their decision and he’ll find a way if he has to.

So will they allow Sam to go to the prison, and how will Harvey react?
