Will Mellor admits he's not spoken to Two Pints co-star Sheridan Smith in 5 years

Two Pints of Lager And A Packet of Crisps star Will Mellor admitted he hadn’t spoken to Sheridan Smith in around five years.

The 44-year-old, who played Gaz Wilkinson in the series, says a reunion will be unlikely since the two lost contact.

Will and Sheridan, 39, starred alongside each other from 2001 to 2011.

“A reunion with the full cast means we have to get everyone back together and you know how hard that is,” he explained.

“I haven't spoken to Sheridan Smith in nearly five years so haven't got a clue what she'd say.”

He previously explained that the actress hasn't been answering his texts and calls and he doesn't know why she won't respond.

However, the Corrie star recently said he wanted the reunion as co-star Ralf Little is up for one.

He also controversially called the BBC series a ‘bigger show’ than Gavin and Stacey.

When questioned by Radio Times if the popular should return, Will answered: “One hundred per cent.

“We need to do a reunion. Ralf Little’s also up for it – I know his character got eaten by a shark, but we’d just say he was running away from a loan shark and has been hiding in Spain!’”

The star was referring to the death of Ralf’s character Jonny Keogh, who passed away in series seven when he won a competition to go shark-jumping.

“I’d love to do [a reunion],” he added. “I can’t force the hand of other cast members or the BBC to make it.

“They haven’t come knocking at my door. But I don’t know why, as it seems like a perfect fit.

“They brought back Gavin and Stacey and, in my opinion, Two Pints was a bigger show.”

Two Pints of Lager also starred Natalie Casey, Kathryn Drysdale and Luke Gell.

It followed the lives of five friends in the Northern town of Runcorn as they navigate being adults.
