Will Lewis Capaldi perform at Glastonbury 2025?

Lewis Capaldi is reportedly set to make a secret comeback at Glastonbury this year, two years after his on-stage attack at the same festival spurred him to take a break from performing.

The 28-year-old musician apologised to loving fans in 2023 after struggling to make it through the end of his set, with his voice giving out during his performance.

“I’m still learning to adjust to the impact of my Tourette’s and on Saturday it became obvious that I need to spend much more time getting my mental and physical health in order, so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time to come,” he said after his performance.

Now two years later, the the Mail Online is reporting that he is preparing to appear at Glastonbury once again. It comes after Capaldi made a surprise return to live performances in May 2025 when he appeared at a charity gig in Edinburgh.

But there are very few details about what fans might expect at this point. Here’s everything you need to know.

Is Lewis Capaldi performing at Glastonbury 2025?

There hasn’t been any official announcement that Capaldi is playing the iconic festival, but reports suggest that he’s working on a ‘secret’ gig.

The Mail Online believes that he’ll take to the Pyramid Stage after Alanis Morrisette on the Friday of the festival. There’s an hour between her set and that of Biffy Clyro, so it looks like there is indeed time for a couple of hits.

However, fans will likely have to wait and see until they get to Worthy Farm whether it’ll go ahead.

What happened at Lewis Capaldi’s 2023 Glasto gig?

Capaldi was diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome in 2022, a condition that can impact a person’s nerves and trigger uncontrolled movements and sounds.

In the run-up to the festival that year, the singer had cancelled a number of shows in an effort to recuperate before his big performance, but he also found himself struggling through his Glasto gig.

During the performance, Capaldi told the crowd, “Glastonbury, I’m really sorry. I’m a bit annoyed with myself,” as he struggled to get through his songs.

But in true Glastonbury style, the supportive crowd sang along and helped carry him through some of his biggest hits. Despite the touching moment, Capaldi later confirmed that he would take another break from performing to work on his health.

"I feel like I'll be taking another wee break over the next couple of weeks. So you probably won't see much of me for the rest of the year, maybe even,” he said. "But when I do come back and when I do see you, I hope you're still up for watching us."
