Will Jayson Tatum make All-NBA First Team for his play with the Boston Celtics this season?

Has star Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum played well enough in the Celtics’ 2022-23 campaign to garner a nod for this season’s All-NBA First Team? The St. Louis native started the season like a house on fire, determined to use his loss with the Celtics to the Golden State Warriors in the 2022 NBA Finals as motivation to get back to the league’s biggest stage to win it all.

But as the season wore on and nicks and dings and fatigue slowed him down, the Duke native went from the top candidate for the 2023 Kia MVP award to a fringe contender to win it as his efficiency and energy took a hit.

Two Hall of Famers from Boston teams past recently weighed in on what players ought to make the cut for this season’s All-NBA First Team, with Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce giving their picks on a recent episode of the “KG Certified” podcast.
