Will it rain today? Nottingham weather forecast as thunderstorms set to hit city

Following two days of humid weather it's probably not surprising thunderstorms are predicted to hit Nottingham today (Saturday, July 25).

The Met Office has forecast a day of dramatically changing weather for the city with heavy rain, lightning storms, cloud and sunshine all expected to hit Nottingham within 24-hours.

The wet weather is expected to start at 9am today with an 80 percent chance of heavy rain followed by 20 degree highs and cloud.

Thunderstorms are set to hit at 1pm but this is only expected to last one hour. However, patchy rain will plague the city intermittently for the rest of Saturday.
