Will it rain this weekend? Weather forecast for Nottingham Riverside Festival

Nottingham - like most of the UK - has been somewhat soggy of late, which isn't ideal when the East Midlands' largest free family fair is about to land on the Embankment.

For now, at least, things are looking up with the Met Office currently predicting a cloudy BUT dry weekend.

Taking over the banks of the Trent from Friday, August 2 to Sunday, August 4, Riverside Festival is back for 2019 with three days of live music, food, rides and of course, the huge free fireworks display on Saturday, August 3 at 10.30pm.

Experts have forecast a misty start to Friday morning turning to cloud later in the day. Sunny intervals will make a welcome appearance from 4pm. Temperatures will reach highs of 22c and there's only a 10 percent chance of rain.

On Saturday it will remain cloudy throughout the day with highs of 22c and rain looking unlikely.

There will be clouds again on Sunday with only a 10 percent chance of rain until 7pm when light rain is predicted. Highs will once again reach 22c.
