Will it rain on Bonfire Night in Greater Manchester?

Although fireworks have been filling the sky above Greater Manchester for the past few days, we're now only a day away from the official commemoration.

Every year, people get together on November 5 to celebrate Bonfire Night , which remembers the night Guy Fawkes plotted to blow up Parliament in 1605.

Bonfires and fireworks displays are taking place across the region, with some offering food and drink stalls and funfair events, making for a fun-filled event.

While people will be wrapping up warm to head out into the night, most will be wondering if they need to pack their umbrella.

Thankfully, despite some showers earlier in the day the sky should remain clear tomorrow night meaning that fireworks should be viewed clearly from afar.

Hour-by-hour prediction from the Met Office:

4pm

5pm

The sun will have set by around 4.30pm so expect it to be very dark by 5pm, with slight clouds.
